When your steering starts to feel heavy, strange noises appear while turning the wheel, or you suddenly notice play that wasn’t there before – it might be a sign that your steering rack needs professional attention. The first step is always problem identification. Sometimes it’s as simple as a quick check, other times we may need to partially dismantle parts of the system. If visiting our workshop is not convenient, you can always fill out an online enquiry form and we’ll get back to you with advice. For a faster response, when calling us during opening hours it helps if you can provide your car’s make, model, year and a short description of the fault.

Once the vehicle is with us, our technicians carry out a detailed inspection. In certain cases a visual check is enough, but often we connect the part to one of our five dedicated testing benches – including rigs for hydraulic racks, pumps, EHPS systems, and electric steering racks. This is one of the largest steering diagnostics facilities in the Baltic region, allowing us to pinpoint faults with precision.

After the inspection we prepare a written estimate covering both parts and labour. We take care to explain everything in clear, simple language, making sure every driver understands not only what failed, but also why it happened and how to avoid similar issues in the future. If an insurance company or another institution requires documentation, we provide official inspection and defect reports.

Repair then follows, with constant communication along the way. Should we discover additional faults, you’ll be informed before any extra work is carried out. If a brand-new replacement part seems too costly, we can usually offer a used or remanufactured steering rack from our own warehouse of over 600 items, or from partner stock of more than 2000. Thanks to long-standing relationships with suppliers in Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Italy and China, sourcing is quick and efficient.

For customers who bring in steering racks already removed by another garage, we also offer standalone part restoration. In such cases we fully dismantle, clean in high-pressure washers, and replace all key components, not just the bare minimum. This approach ensures long-lasting reliability. If repair is not economical, we suggest alternatives and you don’t pay for the disassembly unless agreed otherwise in advance.
